I apologize for the dissappearance- it is quite an interesting thing to try and work keeping a blog into your shcedule. Nonetheless, I wanted to come here and share some type of inspiration for the next year. I’ve always been the Type A kind of person, and so goal setting has always been something I’ve done habitually. Every couple of months or so I re-analye what I’ve wanted to do, if I’ve gotten there, and what my next steps should be. But there’s this wonderful thing about December where you aren’t the only one doing this! We all have the ability to share what our hearts are hoping for in the next year and it can lead to ideas of improvement and inspiration for others. I know New Year’s resolutions are cliche and often never fulfilled fully, but I ask you to take a step back and think about why that is. Maybe these resolutions aren’t really anything you truley care about, or maybe they ARE things you care about, but in actuality may have a hidden obstacles rooted within that you must conquer before being able to focus on the aforementioned goal. Whatever your goals may be, I hope that you can fit in self-reflection into your new year. Do it often! It is a wonderful feeling to be able to step back and ask yourself what it is that is causing you to react the way you are….and to find it out! By building knowledge of your own behaviour, you not only have more control over your actions and reactions, but you increase your self confidence and can decrease your need to cling onto others for acceptance. Use this year to accept who you are, your flaws and all. We are all every growing, and so you can always change the negatives! The more you love yourself, the more you can love others..and I believe love and kindness is the best contribution you can give to this world. Be open to new thoughts, to new feelings, to new ways of becoming positive and don’t be afraid to reach out for the wisdom of those unlike us! I wish everyone a wonderful holiday season and a happy heart for the next year and years after!
